1. Any item that
proves to be not as described may be returned for a full refund of the
purchase price, including postage and handling costs, within 30 days of
the date of the shipment of the item, except as described below in
items 5, 6, and 7. The item must be returned in the same
condition as sent, and in the original holder. No refunds will be
made for any item after 30 days from date of shipment, unless agreed to
either in writing or by email by C & G Stamps. An extension
of this 30 day limit may be granted if an item is to be submitted for
expertization, as described in item 4 below.
2. An individual item which has a purchase price of $100.00 or more may
be submitted for an expert opinion with either the American Philatelic
Expertizing Service (APEX), the Philatelic Foundation (PF), or
Professional Stamp Expertizers (PSE). Should the submitted item
be returned with an opinion that the item is other than as originally
described (except as noted in paragraphs 5, 6, and 7 below), we will
reimburse up to one-half (1/2) of the certification costs (not
including postage costs), up to a maximum of $50.00 per item.
Certification costs for an item returned with "NO OPINION"
will not be reimbursed.
This does not apply to items which are accompanied by a
certificate that is less than 3 years old, which will receive no
reimbursement under any circumstances. The new owner is free to submit such an item for a
new certificate at his/her own cost, however.
3. Certification costs for an individual item which has a purchase
price of less than $100.00 will not be reimbursed under any
circumstances. The new
owner is, of course, free to submit such a stamp for a certificate at
his/her own cost.
4. An extension of the 30 day return period may be granted for items
that are sent for certification, provided that the buyer informs C
& G Stamps of the intention to submit the item for certification
within 30 days from the original date of shipment. Under no
circumstances will this extension period exceed 90 days from the
original date of shipment.
This extension period must be approved by C & G Stamps via either
written correspondence or email, otherwise no extension has been
granted.
5. Any item which is accompanied by a photograph or scan that shows
perforation condition, centering, or faults is not returnable for
reasons of those perforation conditions, centering, or faults as
described or shown in the photograph or scan.
6. Items sold "AS IS" are not returnable for any reason.
7. Lots containing 15 or more stamps are not returnable for any reason.
